We’re proud to share the completion of our work on the Tustin Financial Plaza redevelopment in Tustin, CA — a project that transforms an 8.5-acre office complex into 145 for-sale residential units, including 62 single-family detached cluster homes and 83 townhomes.
This project is a great example of adaptive reuse done right. It converted underutilized commercial space into the kind of attainable homeownership opportunities that communities across California desperately need.
The path to approval wasn’t simple. The existing office buildings were eligible for listing on the California Register of Historical Resources, triggering the need for a full Environmental Impact Report. Our team navigated complex community concerns around traffic, historic resource demolition, and compatibility with adjacent neighborhoods all while keeping the project on an accelerated timeline.
Through close collaboration with City of Tustin staff and the applicant, we helped refine site design, improve circulation, and address community concerns at public meetings, delivering a defensible CEQA package on schedule.
